William Jeske Jr.

William “BJ” Jeske Jr., age 35 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2021 at Woodwinds Hospital.

BJ was born April 8, 1986 in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to William “Bill” Sr. and Sophia (Jaso) Jeske.  In his early years while his dad served in the military, they lived in Jacksonville, FL, Corpus Christi, TX and Great Lakes, IL, before moving to Cottage Grove in 1999.  BJ graduated from Park High School in 2006.  Through the years he worked a variety of jobs, which made him very handy.  Most recently he was employed by Midwest Fence as an installer.

BJ had an artistic side to him.  He enjoyed drawing and creating unique tattoo designs for himself and his friends.  He also enjoyed fishing, playing darts and collecting unique rocks.

He is survived by his parents, Bill and Sophia; sister Anne; daughters Alyssa and Makayla Jeske; grandma Anne Jaso and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to loved and adored him.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry and Carol Jeske, Patricia Jeske and Segundo Jaso.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 3:30 – 5:30 with a prayer service starting at 5:30pm at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 - 80th Street S., Cottage Grove, MN.  Private interment will be planned.
