Beloved husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather

age 82 of Cottage Grove & Attleboro, MA died Saturday morning, June 16, 2007 at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, Minnesota.



William Calvin Brown was born June 18, 1924 in Slaton, Texas. He was raised in Texas. Bill served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. He served in the South Pacific and Guadalcanal. Cowboy Bill will be remembered for his barbequing, his cooking, and his love for family gatherings, storytelling and remembering his cowboy days. He was a true handyman.



He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Attleboro, DAV-American Legion Post 40 in Plymouth; VFW in Attleboro and Sons of Italy in Attleboro.



Beloved husband of Rosemary DePauw-Brown; loving father of Diane (Chuck) Wade of Norwood, MA, Patti (Jack) Dunbar of North Conway, NH, Kathy (Paul) Hayes of Woburn, MA, Debbie (Gene) O'Connell of Mansfield, MA, Judi Brown of Plymouth, MA; stepfather of Jeanne (Rick) Toews of Spring Valley, MN , Theresa (Mark) Reeves of Mahtomedi, MN, David (Deborah) DePauw of Lakeville, MN, Steven (Becky) DePauw of Spencer, Iowa, Ed (Nancy) DePauw of Hudson, WI, Bruce (Dawn) DePauw of Lakeville, MN; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers Dan of Wichita Falls, TX, Ron of Arlington, TX; sister Delores (Ray) Henderson of Arlington, TX.



He was preceded in death by wife Carmela 'Millie' Brown; 5 brothers; 2 sisters.



Visitation 6-7 PM with a 7 PM Wake Service Monday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) with Rev. Bill Deziel officiating.



Visitation 5-8 PM Thursday at DUFFY-POULE FUNERAL HOME, 20 Peck St. Attleboro (508-222-0193). Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro. (10 AM from funeral home) with Rev. Richard Roy officiating. Interment in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, MA.
