Wilbur "Bill" Husaby

Wilbur “Bill” Husaby, age 80, of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Wilbur was born September 23, 1941, to Carl and Marie (nee Fox) Husaby. Wilbur attended Randolph High School and graduated in 1959. He was drafted into the US Army and served for two years. He was united in marriage to Sandra Swanson on January 28, 1967. Bill has been in the car business for almost 50 years. At age 80 he still worked six days a week selling cars at Newport Auto Sales. When he was not working, he enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events, fishing, and just staying busy!

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandy; children, Barb and Darin (Kris); grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie, and Megan; brother, Hap; sister, Mary Otte; twin brother, Willis (Brigitte); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie; sister, Arlene (Dick) Olejar; and in-laws; Bill Otte and Doris Husaby.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM with visitation beginning at 9 AM, Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the Church of St. Rita, 8694 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016. Interment will follow at Cannon Falls Cemetery, Cannon Falls, MN.
