Wesley M. Myckleby, 93, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Sept. 30, 2014. Born Sept. 21, 1921 to Olaf & Inga (Christopherson) Myckleby in Duluth, Minnesota. Wes enlisted and served 40 months in the US Air Force during World War II. After his discharge, he worked for the US Postal Service in St. Paul in Railway Mail Delivery. After the Railway Mail was abandoned, he worked in the St. Paul PO as a Substitute Instructor and Clerk. Wes married Audrey Brand on September 27, 1971. He loved all sports and games, especially bridge. He also had many hobbies.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey; 2 sons, Wesley (Paris) and Scott (Patricia); three grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother & a sister.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11 AM at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, MN 55071.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Wesley's name to Victory Lutheran Church, 5946 E. University Dr., Mesa, AZ 85205 or the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute-Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Piper Building, 913 E. 26th St., Minneapolis, MN 55407.
His cremated remains will be buried at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Superior, Wis.
