Died peacefully at her home under the care of her family.
Preceded in death by husband Peter, daughter-in-law Darla Thompson, sisters Frances, Lou, Margaret, and Mary, brothers John and Norbert, parents Joseph and Anna Socha.
Survived by son, John, of Denmark Township, Jeffry (Roxanne), of Harmony, sisters Carol Holmstrom of Weatherford, OK and Faith Osteen of Upland, CA. Proud Grandmother of Carolyn (Fred, Great Granddaughter Gianna), Drew, Eric (Nicki), Kate, Neil (Annie), Paul, Patrick (Elizabeth), Thomas (Jessica). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Virginia loved nature, especially bluebirds. She enjoyed gardening, classical music, and spending time with family. Virginia was also blessed with many caring neighbors and friends who enriched her life with their generosity and spirit of community.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 14, 2013, 10:30 am at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 920 Holley Ave., St. Paul Park. Visitation 5:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, May 13th at KOK Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park and also for one hour prior to Mass at church.
Memorials may be directed to United Hospital Foundation.
