Viann Ruiz

Viann Rachelle Ruiz died peacefully on March 14, 2016 at her home in Newport. She was born to Gary & Diane (Hostetler) Ruiz on April 10, 1963 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Viann worked for many years in medical transcription and secretary services before transitioning to full time mother. She loved spending time soaking up the sun in her garden swing, enjoyed crafting, card making, finding the perfect item at a garage sale, visiting the casino, anything with glitter and she cherished being a grandma.
She will be deeply missed by daughters Brianna (David) Carlson, Savana Svac; grandchildren Sophia & Liam; sisters Wanda (Derek)Zins, Linda Noyola, Brenda Hohneke; brother Wayne Ruiz; many loving nieces & nephews, cousins and loved ones: Steve Svac and Jeff Milton. Viann joins her parents Gary & Diane and sister Rita in heaven.
Memorial service 11am Friday, March 18, 2016 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN) with a visitation starting at 10am. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
