Troy T. Hendrickson

Age 53, of Cottage Grove

Passed away June 18, 2013 after a brief illness. Troy grew up playing hockey until an injury cut short his dream. He briefly turned to coaching and then settled in as a manager at Stroh's and then a senior project manager for Lennar. While he was proud of the work that he did, it is safe to say that his kids were the reason for it. Troy lived the rest of his life with the same gusto he put into his work. His story-telling left people aching with laughter. He was always there to help a friend in need. He often joked that he had only one kind of luck and it was "Troy luck"…yet found reason to laugh each day. Troy's larger-than-life personality will live on in the stories he told and that people will tell long after this day. Preceded in death by his wife, Marie and one sister. Survived by his children, Lindsey (Robert) Dantzman, Abby, Brooke, and Shane; wife, Tania; parents, Dee and Chuck; two brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Troy's Life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the VFW Post 8752 "The Red Barn", 9260 E. Point Douglas Rd., Cottage Grove, MN 55016 with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Private interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the family, in care of Lindsey Dantzman.
