Thomas Grant Yetter, age 68, of Cottage Grove, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017.
Preceded in death by parents, Mardell Virgina Yetter and Otis Wesley Yetter (Pat); and brother-in-law, Dan Vigil. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Arna; sons, Cole (Courtney Vilela) and Cody (Lisa); siblings, Bill (Elizabeth), Pat (Chris), Chuck (Dona), and Barb Vigil; grandsons, Tommy Vilela-Nava, Wyatt, Bennett, Quinn, and Bodhi; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tom graduated from Willmar High School and met his wife Arna at Moorhead State University, where he was President of Sigma Tau Gamma and Business Senator in the Student Senate. Tom had a long career with Tapemark Company working in sales as well as research and development. Tom was an avid sports fan and hunter who loved fishing, golfing, cooking, camping, traveling, reading, and tending his vegetable garden. He particularly enjoyed elk hunting on horseback in Montana, pheasant hunting in South Dakota, and fly-in fishing trips in Canada with family and friends. After retirement one of Tom's most enjoyable and rewarding roles was being grandpa to his five grandsons. Tom was everyone's steady rock and he will be dearly missed.
Visitation 5-7 PM, Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove and continues at 10 AM at the church on Friday. Celebration of Life 11 AM, Friday, April 28, 2017 at Crossroads Church, 5900 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury, MN, 55129.
