Therese M. McGraw, 55, of Saint Paul, died Friday afternoon, may 9, 2008 at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Home in Saint Paul following a lengthy illness.



Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Saint Paul Park, Minnesota, with the Reverend Greg Esty, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Kok Funeral Home in Cottage Grove. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Home in Saint Paul. 651-459-2875.



Therese M. McGraw was born April 23, 1953 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Charles Anthony and Mary Catherine (Gannon) McGraw.

She moved with her family at an early age to Owatonna and later Cottage Grove, where she graduated from Park High School. She attended St. Benedicts and the University of Minnesota. Following her schooling she moved to Japan where she taught English as a second language and raised her son. In 2002 she returned to the Minneapolis / Saint Paul area. Therese enjoyed writing poetry and aspired to write childrens literature.



She is survived by her son, Wataru J. Inoue of Tokyo, Japan, her mother, Mary C. of St. Paul Park, her brothers; John McGraw of Maplewood, Michael (Roxie) McGraw of Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Charles (Patti) McGraw of Ashville, North Carolina, her sisters; Mollie (Tom) Detviler of Cottage Grove, Cathy of Saint Paul Park, Peggy of Minneapolis, Anne (Skip) Erickson of Golden, Colorado and Suzie (Dr. Kevin) Nakagaki of Plymouth.



She was preceded in death by her father, Charles and brothers, Pat & Dan.
