Terry L. Syverson, 66, of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 9, 2017. He grew up in Newport, Minnesota graduating from Park High School in 1970. Terry starting dating the love of his life Pamela Sundberg in 1971 and married her in 1972 at Newport Lutheran Church. They raised their two children in St. Paul Park and moved to Cottage Grove in 1991. Terry retired from Ashland Refinery after 30+ years of service and was blessed to have the opportunity to fulfill his lifelong passion of woodworking, starting TS Cabinetry. He was actively involved at Crossroads Church in the Mens Group, took mission trips to serve others around the world. Terry loved to play hide and seek with his grandchildren, take walks with Pam, enjoyed biking, and looked forward to yearly trips to the BWCA with family and friends.
He is survived by loving wife of almost 45 years, Pam; children, Kari (Dennis) Wroblewski and Jeremy (Angie); grandchildren, Jack, Maddie, Nora and Alayna; siblings, Vern (Margaret), Deb (Loren) Sauter, Cindy (Jeff) Huppert and Heidi (Chris) Gutting; extended family in Wisconsin and Washington; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ron Maitrejean. Terry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial service 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Crossroads Church, 5900 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury, MN, with visitation starting at noon. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the following charities: World Vision, American Heart Association or Serve HIS Kids- www.servehiskids.org.
