Susan Krech

Susan J. Krech passed away in the arms of her loving husband and surrounded by her loving family on June 5, 2017 at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by husband, Thomas; children, Calvin (Robyn Kuhns) Fuenffinger, Annette (Brian) Fennell, Renee (Richard) Pryor, Nathan (Sara) Krech, Jennifer (Rick) Long, Eric (Nancy) Krech; 35 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Irene Esparza, George Sam, Elaine Regan, Dan Mathison, Doreen Peterson, Tim Mathison; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Mathison; parents, Oscar and Mable Mathison; granddaughter, Peyton Krech; siblings, Rosemary Morgan, Roy Sam, Carol Zins. Funeral service 11:30, Friday, June 9 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St.. S. Cottage Grove) with a visitation starting at 10:30. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Susan was born April 8, 1948 to Oscar & Mable (Plant) Mathison in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was the first graduating class in the new Park High School in 1966. Sue worked for Eco Water for many years, and Colleen's Hair Studio in Cottage Grove. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed doing crafts, spending time outside in the sun, and collecting Boyd's Bears. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
