Shiela A. Sellner, 58, of Newport, passed away Wednesday morning, January 9, 2008 at the HealthEast Bethesda Care Care Center in South Saint Paul following short illness.
Memorial services are being planned for a later date. The Kok Funeral Home of Saint Paul Park is in charge of the arrangements.
Shiela A. Sellner was born August 8, 1949 in Bemidji, Minnesota, the daughter of Alva and Dorney (Becker) Burlingame. She was raised and educated in Bemidji, graduating from Bemidji High School and later attended nursing school in St. Cloud. She was united in marriage to Stanley A. Sellner on December 14, 1968 in Sartell, Minnesota. She had been employed at the Veterans Home in St. Cloud and they later moved to St. Paul where she worked as a nurse in area hospitals and nursing homes. Shiela most recently worked as the office manager for Dr. Duane Jeske Dental Office until the fall of 2007. She especially enjoyed her family, gardening, bingo and trips to the casino with friends.
She is survived by her husband, Stan, two sons; Bradley (Jenny) Sellner of Cottage Grove, Jeffrey Sellner of Newport, four grandchildren; Meghan, Mark, Paige & Luke, her brothers; Jerry (Rita) Burlingame, Tom (Sue) Burlingame, four sisters; Sheryl (John) McMichael, Noma Burlingame, Lynn Burlingame and Ordelma (Dave) Belair, her mother-in-law, Marcella Sellner of Newport and several nieces and nephews
