It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Shannon Doheny (McDonough) age 67, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, on Friday, August 16th.
Shannon leaves behind her husband and best friend, Darren, of over 40 years. Three beautiful children, Christopher Brattain, Sean (Ashlee), Aisling (Andrew) Spoden, and many grand pups. Shannon is also survived by her mother, Angela Robson, and six siblings, Tom (Renee), Keith, Joe, Mike, Steve (Evelyn), Peg (Jim) Oerter, Darren’s brothers Mike (Mary), Kurt (Laurie), and many nieces and nephews.
Shannon was born and raised in St. Paul, MN, graduating from Johnson High School, settling and raising a family in Cottage Grove, MN. Besides her family and pups, she loved movies and reading, leaving no book unread. Shannon also had a passion and talent for cooking, all were sure to take seconds on the first pass.
Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Fran McDonough, stepparent, Bob Robson, mother-in-law, Kathleen, and brother-in-law, Russell. In honoring Shannon’s wishes, there will be a private family service.
