Scott Vickers, age 64 of West St. Paul, passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2021.
Scott Patrick Vickers was born November 28, 1956 in West St. Paul to Byron “Bing” and Elizabeth “Betty” Vickers. He graduated from Henry Sibley High School in 1974 and attended Brown Institute for a short time and went on to work at Tapemark and Unisys where he assembled motherboards for computers. In the early 1990’s Scott started working for the US Postal Service where he held several positions through the years and was also currently employed as an account specialist.
He enjoyed golfing, collecting a variety of things, traveling and going on walks. He was an avid reader and loved watching all kinds of movies. Scott had a curious side to him which lead him to investigate how thing are made or how they exist. The most important thing in Scott’s life was spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Byron and Elizabeth and sister Jane Whaley. Scott is survived by his children Danielle, Christina and Jack (Kristine); grandchildren Lane, Emma and Avery; sister Kathy Lorinser and extended family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1405 Sibley Memorial Hwy, Mendota Heights. Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2021 from 4-7 pm at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S, Cottage Grove as well as one hour prior at the church. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery.
