Scott Edward Doucette was born on September 27, 1965 in Superior, Wisconsin to parents, Ronald and Sandra (nee Johnson). When Scott was 8 years old, the family moved to Anoka, Minnesota, and later to Cottage Grove, where he graduated from Park High in 1983. In high school, he was known as the class clown and with his boisterous voice excelled in choir and theater. He had a love of sports that carried into his children’s lives through coaching them in T-Ball, baseball, softball, basketball, and soccer; he had a very competitive nature, which was reflected through his passion as a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan. Scott worked as a mechanic alongside his good friend, Tim Perisic, for many years; the shop would often be filled with the sounds of their singing, with the duo referring to themselves as the “Rascal Fats”. Scott loved making others laugh, and with his charismatic personality, he was able to make friends everywhere he went. He will be deeply missed by all, but we find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his beloved father.
Scott was a lifelong animal lover and the Como Park Zoo was a favorite place of his; in lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation in his name to the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory at https://comofriends.org/support/donate/.
Scott was preceded in death by father, Ronald, and grandparents. He is survived by mother, Sandee; son, Adam Clark; daughters, Jordan and Jaime; brother, Sean (Nat); uncles, Mike Johnson and Ron (Penny) Johnson; and cousin, Jess Johnson (Andy).
