Scott and Sandi Johnson

Scott and Sandra "Sandi" Johnson, ages 51 and 55, of Spring Lake Park, MN died November 13, 2023 when tragically struck in a motor vehicle accident.  As most everyone who reads this will know, Scott and Sandi were just great people.  Loved by everyone who met them, and the kind of people who would to anything for anyone.  All of us, family and friends, are devastated by their loss in this senseless accident.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Scott and Sandi at the Brook Hall Event Center, 11930 Central Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55434 on Sunday, December 10^th from 1pm until 6pm.  If you plan to attend and would like to say a few words during the event, please reach out to the family.

Scott grew up in Duluth, MN until moving to Twin Cities in his teen years where he graduated from Blaine High School in 1991.  Scott went to work at KFC during High School, and was a career employee, working his way up to his current position of Manager at the Blaine, MN location.  Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Judi Johnson and his Grandparents Lawrence and Carol Jacobs and James Shupe.  He is survived by his brother Jim (Dawn) Johnson, his sister Lisa (Donald) Hess, nephews Derek (Ravin) Nelson, Devin Hess, Joshua Hess, and nieces Hannah Hess and Abbee (Nathan) Long. 

Sandi (Guthreau) Johnson was originally from Canada and grew up in many places as a “military brat”.  She was living in Nova Scotia when she met her soul mate, Scott Johnson and they were married February 14^th, 2001.  Sandi helped take care of two wonderful children, Dempsey and Immy, who were in all aspects a part of their family.  In her spare time Sandi loved to craft, and dedicated lots of time towards creating unique gifts for family and friends.  Sandi was preceded in death by Grandparents Philip and Jane Critchley of Newfoundland, and Arthur and Mary Guthreau of Nova Scotia.  She is survived by parents Arthur and Marie Guthreau, siblings Robert (Una) Guthreau, Debbie Burton, Brian (Kirsty) Guthreau, and Greg (Olivia) Guthreau, nephews Travis (Crystal-Ann) Wicks-Guthreau, Andrew Burton, and nieces Hannah Burton, EllyJane Guthreau, and a great niece Hailey Wicks-Guthreau.

Scott and Sandi were pillars of their community.  They just really enjoyed life and most of all, spending time together spoiling Dempsey, Immy, and their wonderful dog Gypsy.  Gypsy is now part of Lisa and Don’s family and is enjoying their other dog Qira, and two-a-day visits to the dog park in Cottage Grove. 

Thank you everyone for being a part of their lives.  They are loved and dearly missed.
