76, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Dec. 19, 2017 at her home in Cottage Grove. Survived by loving husband of 54 years, Irvin; sons, Richard (Ferrol), Kenneth (Terri), Michael (Lisa); mother, Gladys Gunderson; grandchildren, Bridget, Gretchen; step grandchildren, Ryan, Lia, Taylor and Chase; siblings, Bonnie Coomer (Jack), Jerry (Laura); many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by father, Clarence. Funeral service 11 am Friday, Dec. 22 at Zion Lutheran Church (8500 Hillside Trail, Cottage Grove) with visitation 5-8 pm Thursday, Dec. 21 at Kok Funeral Home (1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park) and one hour prior to service at church. Interment Leavitt Cemetery, Hastings, MN.
Sandra was born June 25, 1941 to Clarence and Gladys (Louden) Gunderson in West Salem, Wisconsin. She graduated from Park High School in 1959. Sandy worked for 3M Chemolite, St. Paul Weyerhauser Company, and St. Paul Insurance Company. She was a past honored Queen of Job’s Daughter in St. Paul Park, a 40 year member of the VFW in Cottage Grove where she was a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary, and has been a member at Zion Lutheran since 1966. Sandy enjoyed doing arts and crafts, painting, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, garage sailing and shopping.
