In Loving Memory of a Wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sandra Lee Bornfleth on January 29, 2025, from ALS at the age of 78. Born in St. Paul, MN on June 15, 1946, Sandy met her husband, Bob, while working as an inspector at Buckbee Mears in downtown St. Paul. They had two children, Brian and Julie, that they raised in Hudson, WI. Sandy retired from St Jude Medical as a heart valve inspector and spent her retirement years in Cottage Grove, MN.

Sandy was the heart of the family and gatherings were always around her dining room table with her delicious meals and treats made with love. She specialized in comfort food and her grandchildren always looked forward to grandma's house where she made each grandchild their favorite meal. She enjoyed picnics, sewing, reading and a good laugh. Sandy had many outdoor adventures throughout her life from camping to leisure cruising to road-tripping across the country to visit her mother and sister in California and her son in Oregon.

Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother always putting family first. Her common sense wisdom and unconditional love were the foundation of our family, and in our grief, we are comforted by all of the practical advice she gave us and the countless beautiful memories.

She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Bornfleth, her children Brian (Michelle) Bornfleth and Julie (Todd) Bjork, her mother Gloria Webinger, her brothers Jay Webinger and Larry (Paula) Webinger, her grandchildren Michael Bjork, Megan (Codey) Owen, Lucy Bornfleth, Aidan Bornfleth and Garrett Bornfleth, and her great-grandchildren Blakely Owen and Harlow Owen. Preceding her in death is her father Gerald Webinger, her sisters Cyndy Cheyne and Jillayne McNaughton.

A celebration of her life will be held on a future date in the spring. The family asks that you honor her memory by sharing a meal with loved ones or making a donation to the ALS Association at donations@als.org.

"Life goes on" was one of her favorite sayings and her legacy will live on forever in our hearts.
