Preceded in death by husband Julian. Survived by children Julie (Greg) Steffen of Cottage Grove, Tim (Susan) of Phoenix, Arizona, Maurie of Minneapolis, Paul of Richfield, Mary of Champlin; grandsons Todd and Kyle both of Cottage Grove; special cousin Donna Stone of Fridley.
Ruby was born January 26, 2007 in North Branch, Minnesota the daughter of Gustav & Minnie (Anderson) Swanberg. She was raised in Ironwood. She attended nurses training at St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth. She served as a lieutenant army nurse in the Philippines during WWII. On December 18, 1948 she married Julian Anderson . Julian died in 1983. Ruby enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, handwork, baking and gardening. She worked and volunteered at Walker Nursing Home.
Visitation 12:00 until 1:00 PM with 1:00 PM Funeral Service Thursday at Minnesota Veterans Home, 5101 Minnehaha Ave, Mpls. Interment Ft. Snelling.
