Rosemarie Polzin

Rosemarie Agnes Wolff Polzin, age 91, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021. She was born in Clara City and raised in Benson, MN by William and Mary Stutelberg along with her five siblings. ‘Rosie’ was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She married Gordon Wolff in 1959 and raised four children at their home in St. Paul Park. They both were long time employees of Armour and Company in So. St. Paul until it closed. She loved having family and friends visiting whether it was a holiday event, birthday or special event she loved to entertain. Who can forget those Christmas open houses with Tom and Jerry’s .. still not sure if it was mom or dad that came up with the recipe but it was an early morning undertaking and enjoyed by many. In 1968 they purchased a lake home in Sauk Centre, MN where they would go as a family every weekend and spend several weeks vacationing and relaxing in the summer. The doors of ‘the cabin’ were open to all family and friends and many memories were made and shared. She loved sitting on the dock for hours fishing and taking in the sun. Travel was another favorite as she made many trips with her bowling team over the years. Whether home or at the lake card parties, bingo and the casino always ranked as some of her favorite pass times although nothing made her happier or compared to the time spent with family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon Wolff and beloved daughter, Robin Garloff.

Rosie is survived by her children Robert (Heidi) Skarsten, Michael Skarsten, Cheryl (Richard) Mann, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Service 12 PM with visitation beginning at 11 AM, Thursday, January 6, 2022, Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, S. St. Paul, MN.
