Ronald Schmidt Sr

Ron M. Schmidt Sr. 67 of St. Paul Park, died Sunday, November 6, 2016. He was born on October 19, 1949 to Marvin & Louise (Radke) in Afton, Minnesota. He grew up in St. Paul Park, graduating from Park High School in 1968. He married his high school sweetheart Katherine "Julie" Lovell on May 3, 1969 in West. St. Paul. They raised their four children in Grey Cloud Island/Cottage Grove. Ron worked 30+ years for 3M retiring in 2005. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, golfing, was a member of the St. Paul Park Mason Lodge #118.
Preceded in death by wife, Julie; brother, Robert; parents, Marvin & Louise. Survived by loving children, Ronda (Allen) Spreeman, Deanna (Theo Gove), Linda (Eric) Folsom, Ronnie Jr. (Lindsey); 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Dianne (Steve) Olson; brother, Al (Cindy); many other relatives and friends. Memorial gathering Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 from 5-8 at Kok Funeral Home (1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park). Private interment Grey Cloud Island Cemetery.
