Fagely, Ronald E. (Ron)
Age 72 of Cottage Grove, formerly of White Bear Lake died early Monday
morning at St. John;s Hospital in Maplewood.
Ronald Emerson Fagely was born April 29, 1933 in St. Paul the son of Milton D. & Irene W. (Sundberg) Fagely. He was raised in St. Paul. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War; and was a survivor of the Chosin Reservoir. On Nov. 1, 1952 he married Virginia Ann Barg. Ron was a collector of antique cars and was especially proud of his 1961 Corvette and his 1966 Mustang convertibles. He was a member of antique car clubs. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold?em, Bingo, and Billiards. Ron and his wife did vending at Swat meets, County fairs, and craft shows. He also enjoyed camping.
Beloved husband of Virginia; loving father of Sharon Cartier of Cottage Groveand John Cartier of Lino Lakes, Lynda Fagely and John Erickson of Dayton, Ohio, Lori and Todd Nelsen of Cottage Grove; 7 grandchildren Casey (Melissa) Cartier, Tanya (Gilbert) Gagne, Travis Erickson, Nicole Erickson, Chris & Katie Nelsen, Brent Nelsen, and Elizabeth Nelsen; 5 great grandchildren Dallas Reed, Isabella Gagne, Ethan Gagne, Conner Nelsen, and Jacob Nelsen; sister Donna Malmstedt of White Bear Lake; brother Milton (Bud) Fagely of Oakdale; many nieces & nephews.
Funeral Service 4 PM Thursday October 27 at CROSSROADS CHURCH, 7955 Ivystone, Cottage Grove. Interment Forest Lawn. Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) and 3-4 PM Thurs. at church.
