Ron was born on May 3, 1941 to the parents Lewis and Elizabeth (Belland) Burg.  He grew up in Brainerd, MN and later studied to be a Radiology Technician in St. Cloud, MN.  He met the love of his life, Nancy and they were married on October 19, 1963.  Ron worked in radiology for quite some time before branching out into photography. Many in the community will recognize his business of over 45 years known as "Ron Burg Photography".  He was hard working and very dedicated to putting his best into his business and grateful for the many people he was able to meet over the years.  He always made time for people and enjoyed conversation.

In his spare time, Ron was involved in Knights of Columbus, Rotary and the Mercedes Club.  He also enjoyed scuba diving and traveling.  He and Nancy were even fortunate enough to recently celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in Paris, France.  He was a devoted husband, loving dad and grandpa who will be deeply missed.

Ron is survived by wife Nancy; children Mark, Kimberly (Peter) Kurus, Todd (LouAnn) and Chris (Amy); 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Brigetta, Greg (Sue), Bartholome and Kevin as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Elizabeth Burg; sister Marilyn Schafer and brother-in-law Loyd Jarnot.

A special thank you to all of those who took care of Ron at Allina Health United Hospital.
