Roland Coller

Roland A. Coller, age 74 of Hastings, formerly of Newport, died May 15, 2013 at his home.

Family and friends may gather to celebrate Roland's life on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Newport Lutheran Church, 900 15th Street, Newport.

Roland was born March 15, 1939 in Long Prairie to Howard and Arvella Coller where he grew up on the family farm. Roland was united in marriage to Sandra Sadlovsky on June 6, 1959 in South St. Paul. They made their home in Newport where they raised their 6 children. Roland enjoyed woodworking and referred to himself as a "jack of all trades; master of none."

Roland is survived by his wife Sandy; six children, Sherry Coller (Richard); Laurie Coller, Rick Coller (Bev), Tammy Coller (Jeff), Trina Erickson (Mike), Kurt (Deb) Coller; twelve grandchildren, Hank (Kathy), Tony (Heather), Crystal, Justin, Haley, Rodney, Kyle, Baylee, Kirsten (Danny), Kory, Breanna, Samantha; five great-grandchildren, Christina, Patrick, Dustin, Aydrien and Gabriella.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Coller and Arvella Marier; brothers, David Marier and Gary Coller; sister, Marlene Swanson.
