Roberta "Bobbie" Swan, age 66 of Cottage Grove, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Bobbie was born on February 28, 1950 in Duluth, Minnesota to Robert and Ruth (Durfee) Wiesen. She graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1969 and started working as a teller for Norwest Bank in Duluth. She was united in marriage to Stephen Swan on June 30, 1973 and lived in the Como Park area before settling in Cottage Grove in 1976. Bobbie worked for Pine Hill Elementary School in Cottage Grove for 25 years as the recess aid, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Through the years she was active in her children's lives and loved her family dearly. Bobbie was very creative and she enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, quilting and playing Scrabble.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Stephen; children Danielle and Christopher (Amanda); grandchildren, Michael, Coralee, Dylan, Neela and Adam. She is preceded in death by her parents.
