Robert Teffs, age 94 of St. Paul, passed away Jan. 20, 2017 at Norris Square Senior Living in Cottage Grove.
Private interment will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Maplewood, Minnesota
Robert Monroe Teffs was born December 29, 1922 in Prescott, Wisconsin to Louis and Louise Teffs. He grew up in the Prescott area where he graduated from high school in 1940. He lived in California for a short time and also worked on the railroad. Robert was married to Jean Biedler on April 26, 1951 and they resided in St. Paul for many years. In his younger years he served as a cub scout and boy scout leader and enjoyed bowling. He was employed by Midwest Spring Company for 40 years and also worked part-time at the Roseville Ice Arena for several years.
He was survived by his children, Jeffrey (Susan), Gary (Cheryl Dayton), Amy (Tom) Wassmund; 7 grandchildren Jeffrey, David, Jacob and Rachael Teffs, Zachary Listner, Nicholas and Joshua Wassmund; 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean; son James Richard and infant son Robert; brothers Charles "Sonny" Gifford and Ronald Teffs as well as an infant sister Amelia.
