Robert Talledge

Robert W. Talledge, age 78 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Memorial service will be 11 am, Friday, January 24, 2020 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 7000 Hinton Ave. S., Cottage Grove with visitation one hour prior.  Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Robert W. Talledge was born October 11, 1941 in Fairmont, Minnesota to Harland and Faye (Jones) Talledge.  After high school, he entered active duty with the US Army and honorably served his country until 1964.  Following his discharge, Robert attended Southwest Minnesota Vocational School and completed his certification as an auto body detailer.  He was married to Jean Piel in Minneapolis on June 22, 1968.  Robert worked as a welder for the Ford Motor Company for 39 years and always wore his Ford Motor jacket with pride.

He enjoyed co-ed bowling with Jean, riding his Harley, farming, camping and spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Jean; children Cindy (Ken) Seebeck, Karl, Mary and Mark Talledge; six grandchildren Brittany, Jacob, McKenzie, Owen, Cole and Kody; 4 great-grandchildren Olivia, Maiya, Hendrix and Josephine; brother Marvin (Lola) Talledge and brother-in-law Lloyd Clemons.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Marjorie Clemons.
