Robert (Bob) Richard Pommerening Sr.
April 21, 1934 – August 22, 2014
He was called home to our Father after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Bob was a lifetime resident of Cottage Grove. He was born in the house on his parents farm which was located where US Bank stands today. He graduated from St Paul Park High School in 1952. Bob married his high school sweet heart, Audrey Oehlke, on Friday August 13, 1954. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They have six children Cindy, Robert Jr (Deb), Randy (Rochelle), Ron (Gail), Jane Pavek (Jim) and Ann Piela (Ron), 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Bob was Street Superintendent for the City of Cottage Grove and worked for the city 34 years prior to his retirement in 1996 . He and Audrey also own a small dairy farm. Bob loved his family, living in the country and plowing snow. He will be best remembered for all the smiles he brought to us with his notorious kidding and teasing.
Special thanks to Robert Jr. who lovingly took over a year off of work to care for his father during his decline.
The family is honoring Bob Sr's wishes by having a private service. We would like to thank all of those who kept Bob in their prayers.
