Robert (Bob) Louis Kottke passed away peacefully December 7, 2020 at the age of 82. He is survived by Patricia, his loving wife of 60 years, three sons Scott, Mark and Shawn, plus eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bob also leaves behind his cousin Donna (who has been a close friend since childhood) and her husband Bob (another close friend of many years).
Bob loved cars. He taught his sons how to maintain their vehicles and he liked to go to car shows. In his younger years he had a beautiful black and chrome 1957 Chevy that he ran around the Twin Cities with. Bob loved airplanes and he brought his family to many airshows over the years. He also loved the outdoors and brought his family camping and fishing on various lakes around the state.
Bob worked in a chrome shop in his younger years plus he was drafted into the Army and served one honorable tour. After the Army, he went to work for 3M making various tape products and eventually worked on the grounds crew which he retired from some years ago. He also taught his sons a strong work ethic where only the best you can do is good enough for any task.
Bob was a devoted family man. His strength of character and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him
