Robert Jahnke

Robert Henry Jahnke, age 80 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents Freddie and Dorothy Jahnke, father-in-law, Floyd Hennagir and mother-in-law, Doris Hennagir, former spouse Diana Anderson, and many other family members and friends.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Dawn; sisters, Sandy Staub and Mavis Giwoyna; children, Christina, Timothy, Heather, and Tami; grandchildren, Alisha, Lauren, LaDanian, and Jackson; great-grandchildren, Alijah, Aedyn, Ah’Jay, Melody, and Maverick.

Robert was a devoted Christian. He was a long-time member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in St. Paul Park and most recently a member of Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove. He loved planting his vegetable garden and sharing the crops with the neighbors. Robert enjoyed watching old westerns, traveling, especially to Colorado, and spending time with his family. He was a quiet man but could be a jokester at times.

He will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, May 7, 2022 with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 9998 90th Street S., Cottage Grove.  Lunch will be served following the service.
