Robert "Bob" E. Erickson, age 84 of Cottage Grove, MN died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Loving Care Cottage in Cottage Grove, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday April 11, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Ave, St. Paul Park. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park, MN and also 1 hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery with military honors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Stephen, and a brother Jim. He will be missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Jo Anne; children Jo Anne (Brian Stewart) Lorenz, Robert Jr., Theresa (Jerry) Tweet, Mike (Denise), Patty (Jeff Wiles) Erickson; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
He was born on December 7, 1929 in Amery, Wi to Richard and Mary (Remior) Erickson. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy. Bob was a long time employee at the Koch Refinery and a member of United Steel Workers Local 662. Bob was a lifelong learner who was constantly active and always curious. He valued his family and friends above all else.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to family choice.
