Robert Butt

Robert H. Butt, age 84 of Cottage Grove, Minnesota passed away July 12, 2018 at Woodbury Senior Living in Woodbury, Minnesota.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S., Cottage Grove, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Centerville, WI at a later time.

Robert Butt was born March 9, 1934 in Winona, Minnesota to Harry Robert and Mary Elizabeth (Lyman) Butt. He graduated high school in Winona, Minnesota in 1952 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1953 during the Korean War.  Robert was married to JoAnn Walton in Winona, Minnesota in 1957, and they lived in several locations including Kansas, Mankato, MN and Belmond, IA. Robert enjoyed his bus driving career for 33 years. He enjoyed touring across America and talking to strangers that boarded his bus. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather, whose love extended to his brother and the Walton Family. In 2000, he and JoAnn rekindled their relationship and have been dating until JoAnn’s passing on April 25, 2016.

Robert is survived by sons, Randall (Pam), Scott, Wayne (Angi) and Kevin (Michelle); grandchildren, Kristin, Brandon, Jennifer, Joshua, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jessica, Logan and Brenden; great-grandchildren Madison, Megan and Sawyer; brother Paul (Kathy) and niece Lindsay.  He is preceded in death by his parents.
