Formerly of Red Rock Manor, Newport, MN, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008 surrounded by family. Rita was born August 5, 1917 in Staples, MN, the daughter of Alex and Maude (Goodrich) McGillivray. On May 17, 1939 Rita McGillivray and George Dale Wiltermuth were united in marriage until Dale?s death in 1972. She remained in that marriage until her death. Preceded in death by husband, George Dale; son, George; grandson, Micheal; parents and 11 brothers and sisters. Survived by children, (Joyce), Rod (Dorothy), Patrick (Sue), Richard (Janice), Gayle (Eric) Sims, Steve (Diane) and Marie Reed; 29 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren. A special thanks to those who provided care for Rita and to Pastor Gary Ritner of Newport United Methodist Church. Funeral Service Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 11AM at Newport United Methodist Church, 1596 11th Ave., Newport, MN. Visitation Tuesday from 4-8 PM at church and one hour prior to service.
