Richard “Rick” D. Sirek, age 55, of Cottage Grove

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, and Uncle

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017 after a long battle with brain cancer, he was surrounded by loving family.

Survived by wife, Christy; children, Sara (Brent) Nelson, Ann Bahm (fiancé, David Cullom), Jacob, and Cassandra; grandchildren, McKenna, Ashlyn, Logan, Jordyn, Blake, Ellie, Brynlee, Emmett, and Avery; mother, Carol (Bruce) Zimmerman; father, Bob (Jane); sisters, Tami, Kelly, and Kari; brothers, Dale and Chris; and beloved furry companion, Ozzy. Preceded in death by mother-in-law, Barb Perkins; son-in-law, Shane Bahm; and many loved family members.

Richard was born in St. Paul and grew up in North St. Paul and Cottage Grove. Proudly worked in the printing industry for 29 years. He loved spending time with the family and being outdoors.

Visitation 5-8 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016 and continues at 10 AM, Friday at the church. Funeral Service 11 AM, Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 1000 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, MN, 55071. Interment to follow at Newport Cemetery.
