Richard Ditzler

Richard Ditzler, age 69 of Cottage Grove, passed away at home surrounded by his beloved family on December 23, 2017.

Private services are being planned.

Richard Eugene Ditzler was born February 2, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Clarence and Ruth (Pikish) Ditzler.  In his younger years his family moved to South St. Paul where he graduated from high school.  While in high school, Richard met the love of his life, Geraldine Lardy and they were united in marriage on May 3, 1969.  Richard and Geraldine made their home in Cottage Grove where he was involved in coaching his sons as they grew up.  Richard worked at Moore Graphics as a lead press operator for 34 years before finishing his career in with Impact Printing in St. Paul.  Richard enjoyed sailing, fishing and playing guitar.

Richard is survived by his wife Geraldine; sons Daniel (Laurie), Steven (Karla) and Christopher (Heather); 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister Carol (Conrad) Agnos as well as several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Susan and brother-in-law Dale.
