Renee Ellen Rolfes, age 65 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly from an illness on January 15, 2021.
Renee enjoyed her childhood in Red Wing, MN with her father, mother, and brother. Renee married Brian in 1983 and they had two children who were the light of her life. She was a wonderful, loving, and devoted daycare provider for many families over 21 years. Renee was blessed with four beautiful grandchildren and she cherished every minute with them. Renee and Brian enjoyed many travels in search of country music, sunshine, and a glass of wine. Her friends and family will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Darrel Swingdorf.
Renee is survived by her loving husband, Brian; children, Josh (Jennifer) and Melissa (Joe) Jannetto; grandchildren, Avery, Andrew, Nora and Lainey; mom, Norma Swingdorf; brother, Brad (Terri) Swingdorf and many nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cottage Grove, MN.
Memorials preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings while abiding to a 50% capacity at the facility. The use of face masks by attendees is required at indoor events, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep your families safe.
