Randy Bush

Randy Bush, age 59 of Cottage Grove passed away December 7, 2014 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis after a strong hard battle with liver cancer.

Memorial service will be 6:30 pm Thursday December 11, 2014 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S. Cottage Grove with visitation the starting at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Randy Floyd Bush was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 11, 1955 to Floyd and Marlene (Sauvain) Bush. He grew up in the Midway area of St. Paul and in the early years of his working career, he started working for a local asphalt company. He met the love of his life, Linda Voss and they were later married at the Church of St. Rita in Cottage Grove on October 8, 1988. They made their home in Cottage Grove where they started a family and enjoyed many years together. Randy was employed by the City of North St. Paul in the Public Works Department and after 18 years retired in January of 2014. He was a hard worker and dedicated employee. Randy was generous with his time and was known by many as a selfless person.

Randy enjoyed fishing, putzing in the yard, trips to the casino, going to the races in Brainerd and spending time with his family at Sullivan's Resort on North Long Lake. He looked forward to celebrating Christmas by decorating the house and making large batches of cookies. Lately, Randy enjoyed relaxing with the dogs on the deck and watching TV in the recliner.

Randy will be deeply missed and forever loved by his wife of 26 years, Linda; two beautiful loving daughters, Laura and Kelly as well as sister Tamy Padelford.
