Randall Bluhm

Randall "Randy" Bluhm, age 76 of Cottage Grove passed away peacefully Jan. 19, 2016 at Regions Hospital.

Memorial service 11am Friday, Jan 22 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove) with a visitation starting at 10am. Please join the family immediately following the service for lunch. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Randy was born to Ray & Ama (Marsden) Bluhm on April 4, 1939 in Mitchell, South Dakota. He graduated from High School in 1957 and enlisted in the US Air Force. Stationed in Morocco he met his wife Margaret Kemp. They spent time living in New York, settled in Mitchell for several years to raise their children, moving to California in 1982 and eventually to Cottage Grove in 1992. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 20+ years and enjoyed 24 years of retirement, spending the first several years caring for his wife. You could find Randy volunteering at Regions Hospital and the Cottage Grove Senior Center in his early years of retirement.

Randy was a devoted grandfather and loved being apart of all his grand kids sporting events & activities, coaching when he could. He was an avid sports fan cheering on his New York Yankees and Duke basketball team.

Randy is preceded in death by wife Marge; siblings Ralph Alexander, Donna Stephens, Jerry. Survived by loving sons Brian(Karen), Jay(Amy), Mark(Cyndi); grandchildren Sara, Matthew, Tim, Pierce, Kyle & Reed; sister Marcy Kane; sister-in-law Barbara Alexander.
