Philip Bromen

Philip L. Bromen, age 65 of Newport died July 15, 2013 at the Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnne; children, Peggy Schwartz, Patty Lundell (Dan K.), Bryan Bromen and Angie Bromen; grandchildren, Kirsten and Kasha Lundell and Austin and Shelby Schwartz; siblings, Alice Stern (and Ed), Ernie (Hella) Bromen, Everett Bromen, Joyce (Gil) Odegard, Kenny (Joann) Bromen and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Helena Bromen; siblings, Virgil, Dennis, Judy Evenson, Harvey, one infant sister and in-laws Alquin Stern and Traudl Bromen.

He was a loving father, grandfather, husband and uncle. Philip loved camping, gardening and spending time at "The Ponderosa". He totally enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, teaching and teasing them any way he could. He was an inspiration in guiding his family in the right direction. Philip took pride in his 40 years as a mechanic and loved to work on many projects.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 18th from 4-8 and Memorial service will be 1:00 pm Friday, July 19th all at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave, St. Paul Park, 651-459-2875.

There will be a luncheon following the Memorial service at the Legion 328 Broadway Ave., St. Paul Park.
