Penny Whipple

Penny Jo Whipple, 55 of Cottage Grove Died November 16, 2016 unexpectedly. Penny was born September 20, 1961 to William & Joyce (Musta) Setzer in St. Paul, Minnesota. She grew up in Cottage Grove graduating from Park High School in 1979. Penny raised her family in Cottage Grove and was so proud of her three children. She enjoyed making stained glass, canning tomatoes, gardening, any type of word games especially cross word puzzles. Penny loved to cook which was very much appreciated and enjoyed by her family. World Vision at Crossroads Church was very important to her, she has sponsored a child in Sudan for many years. Her passing deeply affects many peoples lives.
Penny is survived by the love of her life, Keith; children, Billie (Steve) Schall, Mason (Sara) Hagen, Leah Hagen; grandson, Cooper; father William (Ruth); stepchildren, Jenn (Monica) Kimitch, Adam Whipple; siblings, Al (Sue) Frasl, Steve (Heidi) Setzer, Lynda Setzer, Kurt (Shari) Setzer; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by mother Joyce; brother Jimmy Frasl. Funeral service 11 am Monday, November 21 at Crossroads Church (5900 Woodbury Dr. Woodbury, MN) with visitation starting at 9am. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery. A very special thank you to the Bruellman family and sister Lynda for the gift of 8 years of wonderful memories. Memorials preferred.
