Peggy Tauzell

Peggy Tauzell, age 89, of Cottage Grove, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2022 while surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born February 4, 1933, to Herb and Elsie Post in Little Falls, Minnesota. In her early years she lived on a farm, later moving to Calumet, Minnesota as a teenager. She then went to school and graduated from Anchorage School of Nursing in St. Paul, Minnesota.

She met the love of her life, John Tauzell at the Prom Ballroom in St. Paul, Minnesota, and they were married for sixty-five years. John and Peggy lived in Cottage Grove, Minnesota for sixty-three years and raised their four children, Cynthia Hempy, Michelle (Greg) Pederson, John (Barbara), and Annette (Perry) Linn. They were blessed with eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Peggy was active in her church and community, including being a eucharist minister and taught confirmation for thirty-six years.

Preceded in death by husband, John; son, John; parents, Herbert and Elsie; and brother, Curt. Survived by daughters, Cynthia Hempy, Michelle (Greg) Pederson, and Annette (Perry) Linn; daughter-in-law, Barbara Tauzell; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express a special thank you for the love and support shown to them during this difficult time.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM Monday, August 15, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Ave., St. Paul Park, MN 55071. Burial at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Cemetery.
