Pearl Louise Reed died peacefully August 4, 2014 at Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minnesota.
She was born to Isaac & Pearl (nee: swartz) Joles on January 26, 1943 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She grew up in Magnolia, Iowa. Pearl moved to Minnesota when her children moved away and settled in New Brighton. She had a love for birds, plants, and fish. She was known as the matriarch of her family. Pearl taught all of her grandchildren how to cook, and especially enjoyed "Sunday dinner". She had a love for Elvis, the colors Red and black, and was known for wearing jewelry, including lots of rings.
Pearl is survived by her loving children Seth Carter, Isaac Carter, Deon(Shelia) Carter, Sissy(Austin) Kotz, Rachel (Louie)Swartz & Bo Reed; grandchildren Seth, Isaac (Jessica), Harley, Tommy(Jessica), Taylor, Matthew, Lindsey (Ron), Brandon, Brenden, Blake, Austin (Marykate), Josie, Chicken (Jeremy) Sullivan, Shelby Pearl (Nelson) Wells; great grandchildren Isaac Jr., Destiney, Chelsey, Paslie, Jeremiah, Tommy, Shania, Samantha, Cody, Chelsey, Savannah, Katie, Shelby; brother Louie Joles; sister Diane Carrllo.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service 11am Friday, August 8, 2014 at Kok Funeral Home, St. Paul Park with a visitation 5-8 Thursday, August 7, 2014 and 1 hour prior to service all at the funeral home. Interment Newport Cemetery, Newport, Minnesota
