Paul Weigel

Paul T. Weigel 52 of Cottage Grove died on Aug. 12, 2017 from complications from a fall. Paul was born December 24, 1964 to Mark & Judith (Leitner) Weigel in St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in the Cottage Grove area, graduating from Park High School in 1983. He spent the next several years working in the hospitality industry and then 30 years for US Bank. He met Maureen Nitti in 1988 and they were united in marriage on January 19, 1990. Paul enjoyed listening to talk radio, watching the Minnesota Twins, spending quality time at the Cabin on Mille Lacs, riding his moped and was an avid reader. He is preceded in death by his mother, Judith. Survived by loving wife Maureen of 27 years; children, Anthony (Kelly), Christopher, Kenneth, Shawna (Anthony) Hodge, Roy (Jessica) Hobbs; 10 grandchildren; father, Mark; brother, David (Jonathan); many other relatives and friends. Memorial service 12:30, Saturday, Aug. 19 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S. Cottage Grove) with a visitation starting at 11:00 am.
