Paul Paulsen

Paul Anton Paulsen, born on March 17, 1939, in Holcombe, WI, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, at the age of 85.

Join us in celebrating Paul's life at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S. in Cottage Grove with visitation starting at 9:00 am until the time of service. Private interment will be at Cottage Grove Cemetery.

A proud Holcombe High School alum, Paul served in the Army Reserve and married his beloved Shelia, with whom he shared a life in Cottage Grove for over 50 years. A devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove, he spent his days volunteering at the Friends in Need food shelf, making a difference in his community. Paul also served his country as a support staff member at the Washington County Sheriff's Department and various companies like Chicago North Western Railroad and Armour Foods. May his memories continue to light up our lives.

He is preceded by his father Paul "Mike" Paulsen, mother Alice Stauffer Paulsen, sister Joan Paulsen Dolan, and son Gerald "Jerry" Paulsen. Paul is survived by Shelia Hakes Paulsen; daughters Cathie Paulsen (Denise) and Connie Paulsen (Dennis); daughter-in-law Laurie Paulsen; granddaughters Melissa Eyrich and Hann Paulsen; sister Jean Paulsen Hakes (George) and brother Clinton Paulsen (Pat) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
