Patty Taylor, age 59 of Lake Elmo, formerly of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle.
Funeral service will be 11:30 am, Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Ave, St. Paul Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S, Cottage Grove and also one hour prior to the service on Friday. At Patty’s request, please wear a pair of colorful mismatched socks to the visitation and service. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Patricia “Patty” Ann Taylor was born July 14, 1958 in South St. Paul, Minnesota to Donald and Janice (Fleck) Theis. She grew up in Cottage Grove where she met her first husband Frank Bender. She moved with her family all over the world but mostly loved her time in Japan and Okinawa. After returning to Minnesota and meeting her beloved husband, Jeff, they pursued their hobbies and dreams of world travel, diving, camping, and spending quality time with family and friends. She was so full of life and will live on through all of the hearts she so deeply touched.
Patty is survived by her husband of 19 years Jeffry; loving children Tricia, Elisha, Alex, Alaina; 5 grandchildren Dupré, Ciera, Tristan, Madisyn, Gracyn; mother Janice; sister MaryAnn and brothers Keith, Dale and John. She is preceded in death by her father, Don Theis.
She touched so many lives, was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by not only her family but all who came to know her.
