Patricia "Pat" Gagnier

Patricia “Pat” Gagnier, 88 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2018 with loved ones at her side. Pat was born on December 14, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Theodore & Helen (Bartlett) Thielen. Shortly after her birth her parents moved to St. Paul. She graduated from Humboldt High School and married her childhood sweetheart Henry Gagnier on January 28, 1950 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Paul. Henry and Pat moved to Inver Grove Heights in 1958 and raised their four children. During those years she worked at Lindsey Water Softer until her retirement in 1982. She was active with her Union. Henry's job for the railroad moved them to Kansas from 1983-1993 and then they returned back to Minnesota.  Pat loved playing all types of games, especially bridge. She enjoyed reading and volunteering, but most important was Family. She is preceded in death by husband, Henry; daughter, Cindy Nelson; son, David. Survived by son, Richard (Diane), daughter, Barb (Bob) Wacker; grandchildren, Lisa, Rick (Jessica), Joe (Kelsey) Wacker; numerous extended family & friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, March 13 at The Church of St. Rita (8694 80th St. S. Cottage Grove) with memorial gathering starting at 10 AM. Private interment Resurrection Cemetery Mendota Heights.  A special Thank You to the Afton Care Center and HealthEast Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
