Patricia "Pat" Bawek

Patricia Claire “Pat” Bawek passed peacefully at Regina Transitional Care, Hastings, MN, on June 7th, 2018, attended to by loving sons Curt and Scott (Laurel), and grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of Cottage Grove, Pat loved to travel, be with family and friends and play with her great grandchildren, Daphne (Nicholas), Linden and Kenley (Ryan).  She moved to the Nashville, TN, area for several years after retiring from District 833 where she was an administrative assistant at Grove Elementary School, Cottage Grove.   Her grandchildren, Allen (Curt), and Ryan, Nicholas and Aaron, (Scott) were recipients of her unwavering love and affection.   Pat started her career in administration in Washington DC where she applied for positions within the Washington DC area and was directed to report to a non-specific Federal building, where she would be tested on her abilities, along with 99 others.  Pat received the highest score of the group and was chosen by the Director of the newly formed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to be one of his assistants.

She is survived by her sons Curt and Scott (Laurel); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces Lynn and Meredith.
