Otto Emil Schmaltz was born

the son of Emil & Olga (Lossow) Schmaltz. He was raised in
St. Paul
and graduated from
Johnson
High School
in 1940. On
November 8, 19
52 he was united in marriage with Martha “Marge” Kufner at
St.
Agnes Catholic Church. Otto served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean War. He was the recipient numerous medals including the purple heart and three bronze stars. Otto and Marge were owners of a
Newport
business for 15 years. He was an avid golfer and bowler who enjoyed traveling the world.
Otto is the beloved husband for 57 years of Martha “Marge”; many nieces, nephews & dear friends.
