22 of Newport died unexpectedly on Feb. 28, 2016.
Nathan was born the youngest of three to Tim & Teresa(Pontrelli) Fihn on June 30, 1993. He graduated from East Ridge in 2011 and worked for TCF Bank at the Richfield branch. Nathan had a passion for life, always planning a social outing with family and friends and loved when the adventure took them on the road. He discovered his love for Elvis last year on a family trip to Memphis & Nashville. Everyone who knew Nathan knew how funny, random and social he was. He was honored to have been an uncle, his nieces had a very special place in his heart.
He will be deeply missed by parents Tim & Teresa; brothers Brandon(Sheree Young), Jason(Tony Wallin); nieces Elizabeth, Aubrey; grandmother Virginia; Aunt Becky(Mike)Reule; uncles Steven(Stacy), Steward(Karen) Fihn, Anthony(Mary) Pontrelli, Dominic Jr.(Laurie) Pontrelli, John(Denise) Pontrelli many cousins, friends and his furry companion Gizmo. Preceded in death by grandparents Ernest Fihn, Dominic Sr. & Carol Pontrelli. Funeral service noon Saturday, March 5 at Kok Funeral Home (1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park) with a visitation starting at 10 am. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Everyone is invited to join the family for lunch following the burial at the cemetery at the South St. Paul VFW 111 south Concord Exchange, South St. Paul, MN 55075.
A memorial has been set up at TCF bank in honor of Nathan, donations can be accepted at any TCF location.
