Michael Perkins

Mike Patrick Perkins, 60 of Newport passed away on April 1, 2017 after a courageous battle with ALS. Michael was born November 2, 1956 to David & Corrine (Loeb) in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He worked as a printer for different companies around the Twin City area. Mike loved watching old movies, black and white TV shows, spending time with friends, reading Stephen King books, and cooking. He was an avid Minnesota sports fan, and enjoyed an ice cold Miller Lite. He is survived by partner in life, Sherry Hammons; sisters, Mary (Bob) Mohn, Jackie (Harold) Morphew; sons, Ryan (Theresa) Kreig, Dustin (Charlene) Hammons; grandchildren, Jacob, Dylan, Josie many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents David & Corrine; siblings, David, Paulette, Daniel. Memorial service 2pm, Friday, April 7 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove) with visitation starting at 1pm.
